The World's Best Airport As An Ideal Model For Nigeria's Proposed Aerotropolis.

Singapore Changi has been named the world's best airport at the World Airport Awards in Geneva. This airport is not located in the United States of America, neither is it in the United Kingdom; nor is it in any of the the group of 8 industrialized nations. Yes the worlds best airport is not in any of these countries.
Once again, Singapore's Changi Airport has been crowned the best in the world for the fourth time in 14 years at the prestigious World Airport Award in Geneva.

The airport beat off competition from Incheon Airport in South Korea and Amsterdam Schiphol in the Netherlands, who came in second and third respectively.

But what really distinguishes the Changi Airport?

The airport offers free city tours to all travellers on a stopover of five hours or more and plays host to facilities such as an on-site swimming pool, butterfly garden, nature trail and cinemas.
Changi was also one of the first airports to introduce free WiFi areas and previously scooped the Skytrax best airport award in 2000 before going on to win again in 2006 and 2010.

Whereas our aviation industry under the able leadership of Princess Stella Oduah-Ogiemwonyi has recorded a landmark achievement there is obviously more rooms for improvement. The rolling out of the proposed aerotropolis is one step in that direction. Against this backdrop, one just hope the architects of our proposed Aerotropolis will consider as their model, Singapore's Changi Airport. Yes we can achieve it under the able leadership of Princess Stella Oduah-Ogiemwonyi.
Singapore Changi has been named the world's best airport at the World Airport Awards in Geneva.
